Kate Middleton's wedding is still 11 days away, but she has already been crowned the third most beautiful royal of all time -- surpassing even Princess Diana and Priscilla Presley.
Her soon-to-be highness's high cheekbones and regal smile put her just below Princess Grace and Queen Rania of Jordan on the rankings, according to a survey conducted by the social- network site Beautiful People.com. "That was a big surprise -- that she sur passed Princess Diana and Priscilla Presley," said Greg Hodge, managing director of the site. "But unlike Diana and Priscilla, who grew into there roles, Kate Middleton comes in very fashion-forward. She's living this fairy tale, and is about to become the most famous princess in the world." That Princess Grace remains unmatched is understandable, however. "She's iconic and remains so," Hodge said. The site's survey randomly generates pictures of royals and allows surfers to vote on whether they are hot or not. Among men, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden was voted the most beautiful royal by the 127,000 surveyed. Interestingly, Prince William landed in fifth place, edged out by brother Harry. "Harry is known to have the cheeky jet-set playboy within him," Hodge said. "That probably resonated with voters, along with the fact that he's still a bachelor." Even more surprising among the results is that Prince Charles snagged 10th place on the top 10 list. Former playboy Prince Andrew, meanwhile, was named among the most unsightly royals -- but he did fare better than his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Princess Anne -- Charles' sister -- was named the least attractive royal over all. "The British royals are typically very horsey-looking," Hodge said. "Diana certainly improved the . . . gene pool, and we hope that Kate will do the same." Middleton might still move up; the survey doesn't end until tomorrow.
